Something didn't quite add up indeed. Hinata recalled seeing the list of participants in his arena. Being teamed up with Shinobu was a blessing, but more than that he was able to coordinate effectively with someone he'd spoken to before. Even if his arsenal of conversation generally stacks up to twenty words a day and nothing else, they get along swimmingly. What both Shinobu and Hinata had forgotten to exactly put terms on were their quirks. Fortunately for Hinata, he got a taste of Shinobu's early on at the entrance exam. His mutation quirk gave him speed beyond Olympian potential and a shocking ability. On the flipside, Hinata's quirk remained unknown to not only Shinobu, but most everyone. It wasn't a quirk visible to the naked eye to begin with, and seeing how it functions, one would never believe Hinata placed as well he did in the entrance exam based on what it was.

He scratched his cheek, trying to explain how his quirk functioned exactly, trying to give it a broad terminology. Basic words. He was blunt and concise. "Clones."

As they entered onto the streetways of Stadium Six, Hinata could already see what they were trying to achieve. Shinobu's speed was insane, from the few times Hinata witnessed it firsthand. The way the roads got crowded up with cars and other miscellaneous urban environmental hazards meant he'd have to approach everything with caution and even more precaution. Coming out Hinata also noticed the lack of a flag. A slight grimace took his expression over for a split second before his neutral, invasive gaze placated on the stadium field again. Hinata checked the mirrors on his costume to make sure they were functional one last time before turning to Shinobu whenever he joined Hinata on their side of the field.

"I called it." Hinata thought to himself for a moment.

He approached Shinobu with his vulpine stare. "Don't forget the plan." Hinata said these words, simply, plainly. But his face didn't waver. He wasn't expecting Shinobu to forget the plan because it was their plan. And after some crucial crunching of information and a little bit of hope, they whipped up something for the situation.

"Clones? You a ninja or something?" Shinobu fired back upon hearing his partner's summary of his quirk. There was a certain blankness to his expression as the whole of the idea had sort of flown over his head. Thankfully the duo had fifteen-ish minutes to get him to understand and figure out how to use it effectively. Hinata didn't have to repeat himself too many more times before the cat internalized it thus: one Hinata turn into a bunch. That seemed pretty straightforward to him now that he had it like that. The two continued talking, attempting something of a strategy meeting before their time was up.

Stadium six seemed just as big as the initial meeting grounds the class had gathered in. Perhaps it was even bigger, it was difficult to tell. A sense of wonder filled Shinobu as he looked at the replicated city. It seemed almost intentionally labyrinth like and was filled with obstacles everywhere he could look. A grin took over his face at the realization.

"You sly bastards" he laughed to himself. They were intentionally keeping him from hitting top speed. A moment after Hinata he too realized they didn't have the flag to start, meaning they were on offense. That was perfect. He wanted to savor the moment he tore the flag away from his opponents before they even realized what had happened. Toward the center of the arena something else caught the eye however. It seemed like a large fire. Another obstacle no doubt. Eventually his partner approached, a simple reminder to not forget their plan.

"Don't gotta tell me twice. Let's win this thing." he said, his confidence in both himself and Hinata clear. The feline had time for one last good stretch of the legs before taking off at a light jog, for him anyway, to scout out the area ahead.

"Jeez, what's with UA and this heated weather?"

While standing up against a wall while inside of a building, the humidity started to bother Rihan - who paced back and forth in a room, anxiously waiting. In the center of said room, was a flag, and on the other side was Takuya, both teamed up for today's exam. While looking outside, he couldn't help but stare at the blazing vortex in middle of their city. Although it looked cool, it was also very annoying being the cause of this excessive heat. Rihan sat down and sighed while looking over to Takuya.

"Hate to say it but I hope they come soon otherwise this heat might just knock us out." He joked, trying to make light of their situation. He looked to the side with his mind trailing away into his thoughts. Takuya being his first interaction with another student in his class, Rihan was at a loss about how things will proceed. They had discussed prior about both theirs and their opponents quirks, as well as their plan of action. However, beyond that, there was an feeling of uncertainty that captured Rihan's attention. Perhaps it was doubt, in himself maybe? Considering he is a liability now thanks to the environment handicap, the idea of him being a burden to his teammate did start to settle. However, he quickly shook it off and resolved himself to try and be of some use to his partner.

It was quite an impressive sight, the stadium. Something one could come to expect from a place like U.A. The raging flames in the middle of their battlefield definetly felt real.. probably were real and the budget to hold something like this too, must've been immense. And on the other end of this breath-taking field were his classmates, or rather, his opponents in this case.

Takuya admired the gigantic pyre, only giving his partner - Rihan a quick glance, answering to his worries with a single silent nod of the head. They were quite lucky to have the flag start at their point and with it, the upperhand. The heat spreading throughout the city made it difficult, if not impossible, for his partner to utilize his Quirk to it's full potential outside of the two flag posts at the edges.

"We have the advantage here, they'll have to come to us. So we just have to stay put.", it was a true statement, with the time limit put upon this test all they had to do was to hold out. Not to mention, losing the flag would've spelt defeat for the duo. Takuya's Quirk wasn't nearly fast enough to affect speed related Quirks and the heat already limited Rihan as is so their offense game was greatly hit.

"Defend the flag at all cost" - the only thought plaguing Takuya's head and the sole goal he focused on. Preferably he'd just give the point up if it wasn't for the team aspect of the test - a thorn in his side. On his own, he'd just lazily avoid putting any effort into it. But with another person added to the equation that was no longer a choice. As lazy as he might be, being a burden to others was completely out of question.

He stood at the ready, pacing back and forth around the flagpost on the lookout for his opponents. The speedster in paticular would prove to be a huge challenge with whatever split seconds of a reaction time he left them with.

Running ahead of his partner, Shinobu had had some difficulty getting his running groove going in this stadium. There were always fine adjustments he needed to make so he had to watch his feet more than he wanted to. This made his progress painfully slow by his standards. But as always, his standards of speed were terribly skewed from the norm. Eventually the feline made weaving in and out of streets and alleyways a bit of a game and even took to trying to jump over or run on some of the bigger obstacles like cars and such. It started feeling like that parkour stuff he'd heard about. He could see himself maybe getting into it.

But for now he was supposed to be scouting out ahead. The giant fire made concentrating a touch difficult as it bathed the area in light and heat. The boy didn't know much of anything about his opponents. But he assumed they would try to stay close to where they'd started, if not move further away. While on defense they'd want to put as much distance and as many obstacles between the flag and the attackers as possible. It took a few minutes of taking a very indirect path but as the boy felt he must surely be getting closer he took to more straightforward paths in the more open streets. The nature of the place still required some winding in and out but his purpose now was to draw attention to himself and only himself. He was going to be the only one they had eyes on.

"Come on out! Let's do this thing!" he started shouting as he relaxed his pace and jogged about, his eyes all over the scene to find their hiding place. He would pass into Takuya's line of sight long before he noticed his opponent himself.

Hinata took a far more subtle approach. As Shinobu broke into a dash out in the open, Hinata darted into a nearby alley while he remained out of the opposing team's sight. The boy wanted to make this an easy win if possible, but the win didn't come until the time was up. That meant running right at the flag blindly with the hopes of taking and holding it for the remainder of the time was probably a bad idea. Luckily, Hinata excelled in maintaining a calm demeanor and presence of mind. Lightly jogging through the alley, Hinata mentally noted each pathway and each of its dead-ends. By the time he'd started to find himself warping the corner past the large pillar of flame in the middle of the 'arena', Hinata came to a small clearing at a four-way intersection. There, Hinata activated his quirk.

He took a deep breath, shutting his eyes and feeling fragments of himself leave him. When he opened his eyes, he saw three more blank vulpine stares looking back at him, and all at once their expressions shifted. The first facet, frustration, furrowed its brows and placed its arms against its chest defensively. His toes tapped back at the prime Hinata, as the other two facets, joy and sadness kept to themselves. One with an uncharacteristic grin on its face, the other baring a grim do-or-die look that was somewhere between near sobbing and verge of mental breakdown. Hinata took a short sigh and recanted to them the plan of action, causing the four to run into different directions at the four way intersection. Once their feet were moving all toward the flag post at a reasonable speed, their expressions all shifted to a blank slate. Something they all retained from the prime constant was they were capable of masking their thoughts behind a face, even if it wasn't as perfect as regular Hinata's was. They were on the move toward the flag post, still at least fifty or seventy yards behind Shinobu, moving a bit more discreetly through alleys and behind other urban foliage.
