In all the chaos centered on the flag, Yuri had nearly forgotten about Vivi, and it seemed that would be a major mistake. Working together, the two girls had managed to send Vivi into the sky once more, higher than ever before, all while Skye leapt back and out of Yuri's reach. Yuri was in awe as Vivi's sword arm glowed almost blindingly white and grew to such a massive length that it even scarred the ceiling. With a blade that big, in mid-air, there was no way Yuri could dodge it! And... Miguel! With how close he was, he could get caught in the attack too! Yuri's expression hardened. With little time left in the exam, Yuri decided she had to do something to make herself useful. Yuri pumped an extra large helping of her depleting energy reserves into the vines along her right arm, which were intended to imprison Skye. With this surge of energy, the vines rocketed forward at an alarming speed, and slammed into Miguel, forcefully thrusting him towards Skye, and hopefully out of range of Vivi's sword. "GO!" Yuri shouted at him, hoping he'd be able to react quick enough and use her boost to catch Skye before she could get away.

And then, in an instant, Yuri took the full brunt of Vivi's attack. The sheer blunt force rattled Yuri's brain as it slammed her down towards the ground. As the brutal attack connected, Yuri used up another large helping of what little energy she had remaining, and the vines of her left arm danced
quickly through the air, up along the length of Vivi's sword, and grabbed for her throat, where they would constrict tightly, then thicken to be even tighter. As Yuri's back hit the ground with a resounding thud, and what Yuri could swear as a snap, she would attempt to keep a hard death-grip around Vivi's throat, and slam her into the ground right next to her. Time was running out. She had just taken a massive blow, and it would take her a while before she could even stand up again. Maybe too long. And with the rate she'd been spending energy with now way to recharge, she might not be of any use for the rest of the match. She had no energy left for any other big attacks. Even if she could stand up before the match was over, the most she could do was lazy jabs or grabs with her vines. Nothing Skye likely couldn't handle. Leaving Vivi to run rampant when Yuri couldn't help her partner was simply not an option. So Yuri decided the only option she had was to take the girl out there and then. If she was able to get a grip and bring the girl down, Yuri would not let go of the girl's throat until she was certain she was unconscious. 'All up to you... partner...'

Everything around the young boy was going in slow motion. It looked just like the Bullet Time in some video games he played before. Be it because of the adrenaline, the fatigue, or a strange mixture of both, it didn't matter to the young boy if his perception of time and space was different than normal, so he continued rushing towards his opponent as if he was a rugby player. Miguel had his sights fixated on the girl and only on the girl in front of him, as well as the flag she had in her possession. She was retreating bit by bit, but even with that he was surprised on how long it was taking him to get to her as the distance between them seemed shorter on his mind. Being honest, this wasn't the first time his perspective has betrayed him.

Following his example, Miguel's partner decided to join him on the assault. He briefly heard some kind of slingshot-like noise before noticing Yuri's shadow on the floor, signaling that she was soaring through the air right on top of him. Maybe the sound had something to do with the fact that Yuri was, despite no previous indication that she could do something like that, soaring through the air. Anyways, good support is always welcomed, and so far she's been the MVP of their team ever since the exam began. When the plant girl transformed her arms into vines and formed a web that trapped their opponent with them, while also leaving an opening for the young boy to enter, Miguel understood perfectly what he needed to do (Well, there was nothing hard to understand about that to begin with). However, the opposing team wasn't going to let themselves be trapped just like that.

One of the many blades that were used to pester/nearly torture Miguel a few minutes ago was thrown by blade-throwing girl, though it path ended up being pretty close to the ground. If it was meant to hinder his advance in any way, then she failed quite miserably to do so. That's what he thought, until he heard the girl shout a pretty direct and unambiguous 'Jump off it! Now! Hurry!'. Once again, he managed to forget that Vivi was out there, free to do whatever she wanted. And of course, she wanted to as instructed, and used the flying blade to jump... Or that's what the metallic sound he heard suggested. Still focused on what was in front of him, he knew that turning his head was not a viable option, and that anything happening behind him, or on top of him, would be a surprise.

A new shadow joined that of his partner on the ground, with its form and size showing him that Vivi managed to, as her partner instructed, jump off the blade and position herself on the air even higher than Yuri. It was, without a doubt, the perfect position to strike down any of them, given that her Qurik transformer her arms into blades. Despite this, Miguel didn't think about stopping. He was so close, yet so far; he might as well continue on instead of take cover or do something more beneficial. Nonetheless, once the swordswoman signaled the coming of an attack with a loud 'Heavensrend!!', the young boy began to have second thoughts about his tactics. He began to brace himself for the incoming impact until he noticed that vine web that surrounded the thrower girl was gone. This took him by surprise, thinking that Yuri decided to give up on the attack. But that couldn't be the case; they both wanted to win.

But suddenly, he felt how a bunch of vines slammed into his back, rocketing him forward even faster than he could've done it with his legs. A loud 'GO!' coming from his partner accompained this desperate tactic. He felt bad for doubting his partner even a little, more so after hearing an even louder thud echoing on the floor. No matter how painful the vines were, Miguel was now sure that Yuri received the worst. He squeezed her eyes shut for a few seconds, trying to repress the urge to go back and help her; he had to continue for the two of them. While only seconds had passed since the fight for the flag started, the boy felt that the whole ordeal has been running for minutes, maybe hours. But now, his objective was finally in sight and there was nothing to stop him.

Noticing that his left arm was somehow responding, Miguel stretched it and tried to jump right into the girl in order to grab the flag. However, in a display of bad luck, and despite how flawlessly everything was going until that very moment, he ended up tripping, making the simple jump an easy to avoid tackle. The girl would have no problem evading such straightforward approach. Still, he was determined to get the flag, so he managed to move position his boy and move in a way so he could take her by surprise and snatch the flag from her hands. All in the middle of his fall. Miguel ended up rolling on the floor, a few centimeters away from the blade dancer.

'G-Gotcha...' He said proudly, looking at the flag still in his hand. With his body slowly turning off, he found himself unable to stand up. However, still had enough stength to firmly grasp the pole of the flag.

Skye was almost ashamed to admit she had lost faith in her partner for a brief moment; seeing that tangle of green vines and the Miguel closing in, faster and faster. But a heavenly gleam of divine white light split the sky like a revelation from the heavens, flooding the room in a myriad of holy colours. She saw Yuri plummet to Earth like a falling star, smashing into the ground - but seemingly taking Vivi with her in a vice-like and deadly grip. Her eyes snapped back to the boy flying towards her with the sudden speed of a bullet, his clumsy self tripping over nothing.

She spun to the side quickly, but felt the flag wrenched from her grip at the last second. He had with him the flag; lying on the ground close to her. She couldn't let that happen. Taking shaky breaths, she practically limped forward. The downside of the battle winding down was the crash of the adrenaline high she'd been running off, her body a tapestry of scars, a mosiac of scratches and injuries. But Miguel had the flag and that just wouldn't do.

With almost feeble strength, she attempted to pull the flag from his hand. No such dice; even when both were weakened, Miguel could outclass her in raw strength. No matter. Adjusting her position around him, she aimed a particularly vicious kick towards his stomach, hoping to make him relent with the sheer pain combined with her yanking it from his grip. Then, another idea came into her mind. She was tenacious and wanted nothing more to win; if this weren't an exam, she'd go to almost vile extremes to ensure her victory here. But there was another way; one that had once again only became accessible thanks to Yuri's defensive move.

No matter how physically weak she was, her Quirk didn't rely on her physical capabilities. Carefully managing the sheet of metal she had used earlier in the battle, it moved with an entirely unintentional slowness. She brought it to his fist, and carefully wedged it in between the flag and his hand. The sheet wasn't capable of slicing open his skin - at least, not at this speed - and as such, caused no injury. She wiggled and pushed it around like picking a lock, aiming to force him to spread his fingers and relent his grip. To further this goal, she brought the sheet back up to just above his hand. She lacked speed or power, but still sought to slam it down into his palm, then his wrist - she didn't think it could hurt him for more than five minutes of pain, but pain wasn't her goal. Just a moment of him relenting his grip as she tried to work his hand open and hoist the flag up high - but all the while kept one hand on the flag for support, constantly trying to pull it from his grip.

Stubborn is not strong enough a word to describe the type of girl Skye Larisa is.

With a resounding boom and quake did Heaven's Light completely shift the gears of battle... or so Virtua would have liked to believe. They had gone from clumsy footing and exhausted reaction time to a do-or-die swing that intended to obtain absolute victory... Instead, it only took Yuri, which was more than massive enough to gang up on Miguel. However, Yuri had different plans where the heiress was ensnared in the heat of the moment, unleashing death's grip to choke the swordswoman. Because of this chain reaction, Miguel had been spared of the almighty smash Yuri suffered and soon after Vivi herself when dragged down, colliding hard with the floor. The light of triumph vanished, leaving Skye to fend for herself in a close-ranged matchup against the remaining foe... which sounded enough like a pinch. Plummeting down to earth and stirring up a blast of dust, the poor girl felt her entire body holler in agony - especially her neck which almost felt like it could've snapped...! Her head throbbed like a jackhammer continuously battering her skull, leaving her eyes filled with tears as the pain seared throughout her frame. Trembling did she lay on the ground, feeling a head injury burn hot as blood poured. This was terrible and not at all what she signed up for... Not only did she ultimately fail her surname, - "Victoria" - but now Skye was still in a dicey situation.

Vivi just wanted to be useful... She wanted to be a hero.

In her hazy vision where the fog of unconsciousness threatened to devour, the legend of the golden era stood in front of the sun, his back turned and fists clenched. The world was unsteady, wobbling in a queasy, orange sunset that made it seem the greatest hero who ever lived was shaking - ready to drop at any moment. Ever still did he remain standing though, form lighting up with power as green lightning crackled about. The heiress' eyes widened with shock and awe, seeing how even with a body that was more than ready to surrender to a shut down, he pressed on.

That... That is what Deku would do. Do everything he could to do something about what unfolded before him.

So her own hand balled up into a fist, eyes seeing an unfocused, duplicating image of Yuri nearby. Heavily did her wrecked body force itself upward, legs trembling and ready to give out while taking a few moments to get into the sloppy stance they could manage. With her arm still formed as a blade, messy, garbled thoughts raced in mind:

Help... Skye...!
Miguel... In way...
Yuri... Could...

Running off with the flag, knocking Miguel down, preventing Yuri from attacking, backing Skye up... None of it ran coherently through her mind at all. All that fueled her motions were reckless abandon and determination as she aimed to sever the vine cutting off her breathing. Barely managing a sharp inhale through the grip, Vivi stumbled her way to her foe, lifting Bladelength in a position where it could be thrust forward. Her movements were so slow... so obvious... Yet she wouldn't stop taking strained steps forward, ready to plunge her sword into Yuri if it meant freeing herself of the bindings.

From her position on the floor, Yuri could see very little. She heard a commotion off to the side as Miguel and Skye squabbled over the flag, but could not see for herself who held it. Had Miguel taken the flag? She had no way of knowing. Even if he had taken it, what if Skye was still around to take it back? Neither of those two were in any condition to continue fighting. Yuri silently hoped that Miguel would be able to pull through to the end while she was disabled on the floor. But in the meantime, Yuri had her own problems to worry about. On the other side of her, Yuri noticed Vivi, still being strangled by her vines, suddenly stand up. 'You are a tenacious one...' Yuri thought, half bitter, half impressed by the girl.

As Vivi slowly began approaching Yuri, lifting her blade to make a decisive stab, Yuri tried with all her might to back away, shifting herself along the ground at an even slower rate than the girl's stumble. Casting a glance behind her, she tried to look for something she could latch onto to drag herself away, but the room was empty. Vivi drew ever nearer. In a last ditch effort, Yuri reached her arm towards the stairs, hoping to drag herself down them and away from the sword-wielding girl that was coming her way, but when she tried to extend her arm, she felt a small surge of energy in her arm, and then nothing. No response. No growth. 'Shit... All out...' she thought grimly, 'I'm using every last bit of energy I've got just to stay alive... and to strangle this girl.' Finally, Yuri's retreat was halted as her back hit a wall. This was it. This is where she dies. In an exam, against a younger girl, on the first day of school. She had lived a good life.

No. That wouldn't be happening. Virtua was clearly not ready to give up, despite the vines choking her out, and Yuri wasn't ready either. Even as her energy had hit rock bottom, even as her foe approached without stopping, even as her consciousness was slowly fading, and the entire world as becoming blurry, Yuri could not give up. In her mind, this was not about the flag anymore. Not about the exam anymore. This was about her, and Vivi.

With her back against the wall, no energy in reserve, and no other choices, Yuri faced Virtua as she drew closer and closer. She tightened her grip around the girl's throat as much as she possibly could. "Come... closer..." she said, breathing heavily, "I fucking... dare you..." Any second now. Any second, Vivi would pass out from a lack of oxygen. She just needed a few more seconds. Surely that's all it would take. Just a few more. "What are you gonna do, stab me?"

The showdown of unyielding resolve between Vivi and Yuri reached its apex, both of them completely drained of energy and the heiress going on pure determination and instinct. There was nothing against Yuri at all, it was just a drive to be relevant and succeed. That's why Vivi saved her fading breath instead of trying to fruitlessly spit out a response, feeling the vines squeeze the life from her throat and metaphorically drag her to her potential grave. But this was no mere exam any longer, this was a warrior and a rival going much farther than a simple practical in which their lives were bet. Deadly glares and primal staredowns were exchanged as time felt like it froze - the world did with just the two of them. Yuri's back to the wall, even while strangling Vivi, made her an incredibly easy target since it was only a matter of a decent amount of precision. Continuing to unsteadily tread through the blurry, distorted, unbalanced earth, Vivi dragged her body toward a goal.

So what would she do in this situation that has fallen into her hands, stab Yuri?

Well... yes.

Vivi allowed her blade to ever so weakly dart at Yuri, resisting the force constricting her neck as much as she could in an attempt for a decisive thrust. Alas... the wildfire that carried her through the entire battle had finally died out, and the heroine's energy was no more. Ever so gradually while lunging her limb forward, starting from the forearm to her dainty fingertips did Heaven's Length fade and revert to its original state: her now bruised arm. With a moaning, drained breath did Virtua's consciousness slip away. No... Falling face-first on the ground near Yuri, her light vanished from the battlefield. The flag, helping Skye, ending victorious by her own hand... All of that had turned into a fleeting dream as color drained from her countenance.

Death's final tug had given, letting her free to live with only failing to live up to her own expectations.

[EVENT] - THE FIRST DAY - STADIUM THREE - Page 2 Empty Re: [EVENT] - THE FIRST DAY - STADIUM THREE

Miguel hoped that by taking back the flag the everything would actually end, his team would be declared winner and everyone would go back to wherever they had to go. For example, the infirmary. He needed one quite urgently. And of course, he didn't even knew how much time had passed since the beginning of the exam. The whole thing was starting to feel like days, weeks even. So maybe, just maybe, 30 minutes have already passed. However, he was still there; upside down on the floor and with the flag in his hand. Left hand, to be more specific. His body was completely unresponsive at the moment, with his fall just making it worse.

The only thing left for him was... Laugh. Laugh and realize just what he managed to accomplish a few minutes ago. He had the flag. 'I... I can't believe it...'. It was a long day, filled with both intensity and dangers beyond his belief. Typical hero stuff. And, despite all this, he managed to not only, huh, 'survive', but also secure the flag. He had the flag. That realization took its sweet time to sink in, but when it finally did...

'I did it!' He said to himself. 'The flag... The flag is mine! Hah... Haha... Hahaha... HahahahahAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHA!!!'.

Of course he deserved to laugh after all that. Oh, and his nervous system was thrown out of whack thanks to all the punishment his body received, so he was feeling almost nothing. He could've continued like that for the rest of the exam (Which he hoped wouldn't be that much) without a problem, but his little celebration was interrupted by an approaching shaky breath. Trying to take a better look, Miguel managed to see from the corner of his eye how the blade-throwing girl was now limping towards him, visibly tired. 'Oh yeah...' He stopped laughing. 'I forgot about her'.

Saying absolutely nothing she attempted to pull the flag from his hand. Strangely, it was to no avail. Miguel wasn't sure if it was because he was just that strong or if she was just that tired. Both prospects were actually scary. And he even wasn't putting that much of a resistance given that his only functioning body parts at that moment were his left arm and his neck, and he wasn't sure about the last one. Again, despite all this, he considered it was a good time to direct some words at the girl. 'I-I'm sorry... But I can't let you have the flag...' He took a breath, then continued. 'M-My partner and I went through so much hell to have this on out sid- OUCH!!!'. Of course, he didn't notice her adjusting her position to give him a (Rather vicious) kick in his stomach. 'Ngh, I'm starting to feel everything again...'. Coughing and in much pain, the young boy resorted to continue what he was saying before. '... M-My partner and I went through so much hell to have this on our side.... I-I can't let you have it...'.

Then, out of nowhere, a blade was wedged between his hand and the flag pole. It was then wiggled and pushed around in an effort to loosen his grip. The girl did all of this while keeping a hands on the flag. Of course, Miguel wasn't going to give in so easily... But he wasn't in a position to decide that; his body was the one dictated how much he could resist. His resistance was put to test when the flying blade just went up above his hand and then slammed both his left palm and his wrist. The problem wasn't the pain, but that his grip was actually loosening. 'No... Please, just a little more...' He literally pleaded to his body. 'Resist! Just a little more!'. His arm was starting to feel numb. Two of his fingers already gave up. And the third was on its way.

[EVENT] - THE FIRST DAY - STADIUM THREE - Page 2 Empty Re: [EVENT] - THE FIRST DAY - STADIUM THREE

Post by Shirii Tue Oct 02, 2018 6:58 pm

Skye wasn't a fan of being mean. She tried to think everything through before she did it, would never act purely out of hatred, and tried her best to keep an open mind and a warm heart. She often failed at the last part, but still. She tried.

Unfortunately for the poor boy in hysterics at her feet, there were times where she could do nothing to quell her rage or soften the bitterness in her voice. No antidote to cure the venom that tainted her words, and nothing to calm her down.

"Went through hell to have this on your side?" She repeated, eyes wide and her voice quiet. She glanced towards her partner, beaten and bruised. She looked down at her body, how it shook like a leaf. A little ember of strength roared quietly in the bottomless pit of her stomach. As her voice did, so did it got louder and louder, deep-rooted anger and vile anger spilling out of her mouth the more she talked, snarling like a feral animal, a wild cat. "You were gifted it. You had it from the start. You got lucky enough to have it. That's all. You got lucky. You went through hell? Did you bleed for it? Sob over it? Break yourself every day for it?"

Her mind flickered like fire dancing on the end of a match, back to the fleeting memories of her youth. Her mother. Her Quirk. What had meant to be derisive laughter at a statement so deluded had turned into... "I've went through hell just to be here! You were given it -- no work needed! You didn't --" And then it all came back, as all things did, to Avner - the blazing sun who had lit up her path. Who burned too bright. You didn't deserve it. She had been given it. The thought made her want to throw up and it consumed her, burned her to dust and scattered her ashes with the blazing air. Miguel wasn't the only one in hysterics - Skye looked scared to death as she glanced around the room for enemies who hadn't made themselves clear, sharpening their knives around corners and just barely out of sight. But it all came rushing back in raw anger that pushed her on to take this flag from Miguel - to prove herself and rise.

She deserved to be here. She had not been given it.

With a roar like a battle cry, she raised her heel and stomped it onto Miguel's wrist. She began to grind his wrist against the ground, trapped underneath her until he finally relented, her stomps becoming more and more relentless as tears welled up in her rage-filled eyes burning with anger, grinding him under foot as violent sobs wracked her body. She snatched the flag from his lifeless body and lorded it over him, brandished it far above his body, tears cutting a clean path through the muck and mess, the mask of dirt on her face as her body and legs shook.

She could already feel her consciousness slipping away. This was not how she imagined victory.

[EVENT] - THE FIRST DAY - STADIUM THREE - Page 2 Empty Re: [EVENT] - THE FIRST DAY - STADIUM THREE

Post by TrueLily Tue Oct 02, 2018 8:57 pm

Yuri had a bad habit of taunting people. She's had it ever since she was young, and sometimes it got her into trouble. Sometimes people would tell on her for being mean and her teachers would reprimand her, and other times people would lose their cool over her taunts. As Yuri watched, unable to do anything as Vivi raised her blade towards her and pulled back to thrust, Yuri realized that perhaps asking "What are you gonna do, stab me?" was not the wisest thing to do in her position, and that perhaps she should choose her words more carefully. Alas, Yuri was at peace knowing that she would die how she lived: a sarcastic bitch.

As Vivi thrust her sword, Yuri shut her eyes tightly and braced herself for impact, only to feel nothing. A moment later, she heard a thud, and still no feeling. Another moment passed, and yet still, she had not felt herself leave this mortal realm. She tentatively opened her eyes, to see Vivi, passed out on the ground, her arm reverted to its normal limb-like self, and not plunged into Yuri's gut. Yuri breathed a heavy sigh of relief, finally loosening her grip on the young girl, and turning her vines back into an arm. She felt ready to pass out there and then, when she finally let herself notice the commotion happening on the other side of the room. Skye seemed upset. Really upset. Furious even. And she was taking her anger out on poor Miguel's wrist, stomping it over and over into the ground while she screamed and sobbed.

"H-hey..." Yuri tried to yell out, but her voice was too weak to be carried to Skye's ears. Her body flopped onto the ground, and she began slowly pulling herself towards them, "Leave him... alone..." she weakly muttered and she dragged her body along the ground. Yuri inched closer and closer, while Skye continued her brutal, ferocious assault on the poor boy, "Stop... that..." she said, practically pleading at this point. And then, Skye ripped the flag from Miguel's grasp, and held it aloft with triumph, "No... give it... b-..." As Yuri reached in desperation towards Skye and Miguel, to take the flag, to help her partner, the last remaining motes of light in Yuri's vision faded, and her consciousness left her in the dark.

'Went through hell to have this on your side?'.

That was the first thing Miguel heard the girl say in a long time. Although she sounded quite calm, the young boy could pretty well recognize some anger hidden in those words.

'Huh?' He muttered, still recovering from the damage done to his left hand by the flying blade. The sudden, small period of silence that followed the last phrase seemed like a good moment to say something, whether it was a good idea or not. 'Well, y-yeah... I m-mean, look at us. We l-look like-'. However, the girl continued talking; her voice getting not only louder but angrier as she went on. 'You were gifted it. You had it from the start. You got lucky enough to have it. That's all. You got lucky. You went through hell? Did you bleed for it? Sob over it? Break yourself every day for it?'. Ok. Miguel was no prodigious mind, but even he could notice that, for her, this was about more than just capturing the flag.

'I've went through hell just to be here! You were given it -- no work needed! You didn't --'. And, once again, silence.

'... T-To be honest, I'm kinda bleedin- AAAGH!!'.

After a roar not so different from a battle cry, the girl viciously stomped his wrist and, to his horror, proceeded to do it again. And again. And again. And again. Each stomp getting more ruthless and painful than the one before. In this situation, the boy could do nothing but scream after stomp, closing his eyes and clenching his teeth in a futile attempt to endure the pain. His body couldn't withstand such undeserved punishment, so, among all the things that could've happened, his consciousness started to fade. And this time, it was for real.

After being at the receiving end of her vicious attacks, no one would blame Miguel for holding a grudge against her. However, among all the pain, he noted that she was crying the whole time. Well, it was more like a sobbing, but you get the idea. '... I'm the one getting pummeled here. Why are you the one crying?' He thought, sounding more like a joke than anything. In the end, his grip loosened and the flag was released from his grasp. The girl obviously took no time to snatch it away from him. After all, he was in no condition to do anything about it. All he had left was to rest.

Looking at one side, he noticed that both Yuri and Vivi layed unconscious on the floor. 'Heh' He laughed a little. His partner was a real MVP, while he failed to grab the flag properly.

'I'm sorry... Partner... I think I lost the flag...'. He then closed his eyes.

Skye could barely keep the flag in her grip, much less stand steady. Her body shook like a leaf as her breathing was ragged. This was U.A. She'd proved herself. But then she looked down and saw Miguel at her feet; the tired and battered bodies laying around her like some find of graveyard. A glorious battlefield this was not.

"I - I'm--," she began, unable to find the proper words; and what good would they be? She was the only one here now. The only one barely clinging on to a shred of consciousness, the only one left standing, her weight supported by a flag she had beaten from the hands of an innocent boy at her feet. She had lost her temper; like a bull that had seen red. She was alone now with her thoughts as she fell around the battlefield like a damaged ballerina; a butterfly with clipped and broken wings; a cruel mockery of the elegant dances she prided herself on. The shadows on the walls seemed to drag on forever like a vast expanse of nothing; wrapping her up like ribbons, always there in the corner of her eye. The sounds in her head - her foot slamming down, the sounds the boy had made, suddenly reliving every pain in her body as it burned.

This was not how she imagined victory.

She had seen pillars of light, her body pristine and clear; a laurel wreath crowned atop her forehead as she bathed in the waters of life - success. Such an image seemed far away now; and when she stumbled forward to chase it it was yanked away again. It felt cruel. But perhaps this was the fate she deserved for such a cruel act; but when she played the scenes over in her head, though they flickered like broken tape, a supercut of her mistakes, she realized one conclusion that rang through her head; rang through her head and cleared her thoughts like the bell that was ringing throughout their stadium.

She would do it all again.

And thus, she fell; her eyes slipping shut as she crumpled against the floor.

His eyes were wide as he watched the conclusion of Stadium Three; all students incapacitated just after the bell rang, bodies battered and bruised. Of course, it had to be said that he had been given plenty of information on their capabilities; all four students had almost amazing potential. Terrifying, almost. And their drive was almost unheard of; perhaps too good for any of their wellbeing. None had gracefully accepted defeat; they had pushed themselves past it to challenge the other even further than they had before. They were all shining lights who had no issue throwing themselves into risk if it meant shining brighter or stronger than before.

It was true that was the essence of studying at U.A., but...

Clearing his throat, he quickly talked into the speakers of Stadium Three. Normally he'd communicate with his fellow teachers through phones or earpieces, however... he doubted that would be necessary considering none of the students could hear them regardless.

"Gladia... could you?" He asked, unable to really bring himself to say it. How could he phrase it delicately? 'Clean up the kids who had almost killed each other on their first day'?

This job clearly came with more difficulties than Sylva had let on.

[EVENT] - THE FIRST DAY - STADIUM THREE - Page 2 Empty Re: [EVENT] - THE FIRST DAY - STADIUM THREE

Arms folded, Tyr surveyed the battlefield of heroes in the making through a stern gaze. The four students of Stadium Three clearly had no sense of holding back nor any concept of relenting, as they all fought vigorously for what was supposed to be testing grounds of their ability. The scarlet warrior knew the consequences of letting such an onslaught escalate, seeing the kids nearly fight to the death over nothing more than a mere life - an object they treated as their lifeline. Never mind the reprimanding that awaited her from her superiors and parents; the Victoria clan would be furious with their heiress having been brutally battered the very first day of school when their scion: Gladia, could've stopped it... And yet, she didn't seem to care for anything more than what those children experienced today.

"I need a medical team for Stadium Three, all four participants are down." Responding to Apollo's request, she called for assistance as she herself traversed the world torn asunder by mindless resolve and violent instinct. Aside from wearing out their bodies to break their limits, the biggest physical concerns were probably Vivi's neck bruises after being slammed into the ground and nearly strangled to death, along with poor Miguel's wrist through the thrashing Skye gave it. Even with that, there were still wounds from the blade duo slashing at their opponents, the slamming of Vivi's body into Skye's from Yuri's toss, and the drawbacks of excessive quirk usage. Gladia took it upon herself to gauge the damage for each individual... especially her sister's condition, placing a bare hand on her cheek just to feel Virtua's warmth. It looked like she was analyzing the situation, but it was more just out of wanting to share contact - just for a moment.

This risk was worth the reward, this year's Hero Course consisted of a handful of monsters.

"Let me take her." Gladia spoke after the staff at the scene got the other kids situated on stretchers. Hefting the heiress' light frame upward, the redhead adjusted arms at her back and under her legs - assuming the form of a princess carry. Confirming a stable hold, she had Vivi lean on her shoulder and began walking in an organized fashion with the nurses around. These determined lights had learned a lesson she would inform them of when they regain consciousness, but this would be the first time of hopefully more to come where they get deserved rest for outstanding effort. They could have actually killed each other... But despite the dangers of it, knowing they would go on until they simply could not is the tenacity a hero in these dark times must have. Capture the flag be damned, victory drives the course of history and they all won in her eyes.

"Remember what you've seen here today." Words said to the medics, Avner, and herself.
